Mango Milkshake


It was a beautiful Sunday. Lovely weather in the temperatures near 70s. Soon after breakfast, we decided to be outdoors doing some pending chores like washing the car, lawn mowing etc. By the time I came inside it was nearing lunch time. While I was thinking what to cook, my hubby suggested that we could finish the left overs from the previous day. But I wanted to make something YUM for such a nice summery day. Thought will serve some cold Mango milkshake at the end of the meal:)




I love mangoes and whenever they are in season I always buy them in bulk. Mango Milkshake is one delicious drink, that I prepare during summer. Mango milkshake can be prepared in a few different ways. Today, I will be sharing a simple recipe to make this yummy drink. All you need to to do is blend all the ingredients together and deliciously rich milkshake is ready. I like to serve chilled Mango Milkshake with a dollop of ice cream , few  pieces of mango and some drilled honey / maple syrup drizzled on top.

INGREDIENTS:
Note: All measurements are based on the US measuring cup and spoon sizes where 1 cup = 235 ml
Serves : 3
  • Sweet and Ripe Mangoes (chopped) : 1 cup (I used ripe Ataulfo ​​Mangoes)
  • Cold Milk : 1.5 cup
  • Vanilla ice cream : 1/2 cup ( Plus extra for using at end just before serving)
  • Maple syrup or Honey : 2 tbsp (Plus extra for drizzling at the end)
  • A few pieces of mango for the garnish.
PROCEDURE:
  • Blend the chopped mangoes, milk , ice cream , maple syrup / honey until smooth.
  • Pour in to 3 glasses. 
  • Add a dollop of ice cream in each glass. 
  • Top it with some mango bits.
  • Lastly, drizzle some maple syrup / honey and serve.
Note: Adjust the sweetness according to taste
