About Me...

Hey all!!  My name is Shubha. I am a mother of a cute kid and a homemaker by choice. I was born in Mangalore but brought up in Mumbai. I am an Electronic engineer by qualification and have worked in the IT industry for a few years.

I was always interested in cooking . Growing up as a kid, I used to see my mum working her magic in the kitchen. My mum cooks super tasty yet very healthy food with minimum oil or ghee. Then came a phase during my secondary school years when I used to be glued to the TV watching cookery shows. Then I would pretend to be the chef in the kitchen and pretend to have my own cookery show :)

After my marriage and coming to the United States of America, I soon realized that  if you want to eat good Indian food in this country, it is better to cook it yourself. I started trying out recipes. Some of them were my mum's recipes, some from the web ,some from various cookery books and some my own experiments. What started as a series of experiments, soon turned into a serious passion.

If was then my hubby suggested that I should started blogging. My initial reaction was " Me.. blogging... hmmmm ... ".. Then upon  thinking for sometime I thought to myself why not use the blog as my recipe journal. It will not only help me keep a track of my kitchen encounters but hopefully help many others  in some or the other way in their kitchen experience.

The recipes in this blog have been tried and tested. A lot of effort goes in to cooking and then staging the final dish and photographing it. So please ask before using the pictures from the blog. Also if you wish to post recipes from this blog , please do so giving credits to me or linking your post back to my post.

If you have any questions about recipe or any of the ingredients used, do email me at kuchmeredilnekaha@gmail.com. I will try to answer ASAP.
