Seven cup burfi is a very simple sweet though it is a bit time consuming but the end result is well worth it:)

Seven cup burfi is a very simple sweet though it is a bit time consuming but the end result is well worth it:)
So here goes the recipe..
INGREDIENTS:
- Besan - 1 cup
- Sugar - 3 cups
- Milk - 1 cup
- Ghee(melted) - 1 cup
- Fresh grated coconut - 1 cup
So as you can see, there are 7 cups of ingredients involved, hence the name..:)
Method:
- Put all the ingredients in a heavy bottomed pan. Then cook on a medium flame mixing continuously.
- When the mixture starts leaving the sides of the pan, pour the mixture in to a greased baking tray or thali.(it takes a while, be patient;))
- Pat the thali or tray so that the mixture spreads evenly. You can also use a flat spatula (greased) to smoothen the surface.
- Once its has cooled down a bit and cut it into pieces.
- Enjoy!!!
I am sending this recipe to the blog event "FESTIVAL POTLUCK" hosted by Krithi and Denny.
