Tomato Rasam
Piping hot rasam and rice with some ghee on top of it is one of my favorites especially on cold winter days. There are different versions of tomato rasam. I like the way my mom makes rasam and hence I have always been making it her style. Every time I go to India , my mom makes fresh rasam powder for me which I store in the refrigerator. But after a while , when I have used up all the rasam powder made by her, I make my own fresh rasam powder (obviously using her recipe:)). It's easy to make and I make it fresh each time I make rasam. In today's post I will share the recipe of making Rasam (my mom's style) along with the recipe for her rasam powder.

Kattu saaru / Kattina Saaru /Lemon rasam
Kattu Saaru / Lemon rasam is an easy to prepare rasam made using split pigeon peas / Tuvar dal and does not involve the usage of rasam powder.I like to make this rasam of thin consistency. This ginger- lemon infused rasam is perfect for a cold rainy day.

Today, I will be sharing with you all a delicious and flavorful rasam. This rasam made from the core (seeds along with the thin flesh surrounding the seeds) of DOSAKAI is mildy spiced and very light on the stomach too. This is yet another of my mum's recipe. She is an amazing cook and the best part about her cooking is that it is delicious and healthy too.
